Variaciones, ciclos y elementos de la experiencia corporal menos representados son los puntos de partida para esta exhibición. Por medio de dibujos, escultura y video, el cuerpo es interpretado en fragmentos aislados que se convierten en criaturas en sí mismas. Amorfo -sin una forma definida- explora diferentes etapas, experiencias y sensaciones del cuerpo, desde la perspectiva de intimidad, rutina y metamorfosis.
Estos trabajos corresponden a diferentes procesos incluyendo estudios de formas de células, mis propias exploraciones corpóreas y rutina, incluyendo los extraños cambios experimentados en el cuerpo embarazado y postparto buscando elementos casi secretos para reflejar la cruda y juguetona materialidad del cuerpo y la experiencia humana.
Variations, cycles and under-represented elements of the bodily experience are the starting point of this exhibition. Amorfo –without a definite form– explores different stages, experiences and sensations of the body. From routine, intimacy and metamorphosis, the body is interpreted in isolated fragments that become creatures of their own, through drawings, sculpture and video.
These works belong to different stages of explorations including studies of cell shapes, my own bodily observations, routine and the strange changes experienced by the pregnant and postpartum body, aiming to reflect the raw and playful materiality of the body and our shared human experience.
